Global Village the Reunion
From Friday 8 August till 17 August 2025 Global Village will occupy a store directly at the entrance of the subway station Amsterdam Noord. In this space of 300 x 10 meters we will show artworks by artists who participated in the Global Village, 100% Vrouw or PLAY room-exhibitions. During the weekend live performances and music will be part of the experience.
The ‘Noord’ area in Amsterdam is a newly developed district in the Dutch capitol with new living houses and businesses. Due to the location of this exhibition space, directly at the subway station, we will have many passers-by on a daily basis. This location ensures high visability to an audience with new built houses and in need for art. We aim to show 30 to 40 artists at this reunion.
OPEN CALL:
We invite artists who have participated in Global Village, 100% Vrouw or PLAY room exhibitions to apply for this event. All types of art and medium are welcome (but note there´s no electricity available).
Conditions:
– there is no insurrance, so you exhibit your art at your own risque
– there is no electricity available
– every day there is a suppost at the exhibition
– participation fee € 25,- per artist
– we will install a ‘museum-shop’ where you can sell calendars, post-cards and other merchandise
– when an artwork or merchandise is sold, we charge 30% commission
Building up/down and opening times:
– building up from 5 till 7 August 2025
– open for public from 8 till 17 August 2025, from 13 to 18 h. (closed on Monday)
– building down from 18 to 19 August 2025

* short description of the art you want to show
* a few jpeg’s of the art you want to show
* when your participation is confirmed, the fee should be paid before 1 July 2025
